William (Bill) Devers
Bill Devers is Managing Broker for Gundaker Commercial Group.
With a background in real estate management, acquisition, and development, his responsibilities include overseeing the functions of Gundaker Commercial Group as a company, with a primary focus on organization, brokerage, developments, and acquisitions. He engages Gundaker Commercial Groups Asset Management, Brokerage, and Development Divisions.
Prior to Gundaker Commercial Group, Bill joined McKelvey Properties to pursue property and facility management customers. Bill also served as the Executive Director for WFF Facility Services. WFF Facility Services supplied colleges and universities with outsourced facility programs such as custodial and grounds and maintenance. Bill was assigned to the Washington University – St. Louis account. This assignment included the Danforth campus, which is 90 buildings and over 5.2 million usable square feet. Furthermore, Bill was responsible for 15 buildings totaling over 650,000 square feet on the Washington University School of Medicine campus.
In 2013, Bill was appointed AVP of Facility Services with St. Louis University overseeing 271 acres, 134 buildings with 7 million gross feet, 6 million maintainable, and 3.5 million cleanable. This included the St. Louis University School of Medicine South Campus as well. Bill also was responsible for Saint Louis University’s Substantivity initiative – SLU-stainability. In addition, Bill facilitated the real estate program for the University. This included the newly formed relationship with SSM Hospitals and the land acquisition/development for the new St. Louis University Hospital.
Bill served the American Red Cross in St Louis as the Chief Development Officer overseeing a 10 million annual revenue budget. Prior to joining the Red Cross, Bill was a principal with West End Commercial Investment, LLC, a commercial real estate and property management brokerage firm located in Olivette, MO.
Until March of 2009, Bill served as the Vice President of the top multi-office Real Estate providers in the St. Louis area, Coldwell Banker Gundaker and Gundaker Realtors. Bill joined Gundaker Realtors in 1986 and rose to the position of Vice President. In 2001, Coldwell Banker and Gundaker merged. Bill’s duties and responsibilities included the details of the merger and the reorganization of the combined 52 real estate offices in the greater St. Louis area. Bill also acted as Facility Director for the Central region for Realogy and Coldwell Banker owned facilities in Minnesota, Illinois, Ohio and Missouri. As Vice President, Bill was directly responsible for the operations of the residential company. Under this umbrella contain the operations, facilities, relocation department, residential property management, the technology support team, and diverse administrative accountabilities specific to the real estate and mortgage and banking relationships.
