Mary Mercurio
As Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Gundaker Commercial Group, Inc., Mary Mercurio brings over 20 years
of accounting related to the construction industry to her position. Her past experience includes working in all financial phases of commercial real estate and land development and construction, including troubleshooting in the field.
Mary has become a specialist in many areas of the accounting field. Her expertise is particularly beneficial in the areas of payment methods, relevant tax laws, budgeting, loan coordination, annual financial reports, and tax returns. Her extensive knowledge in working with municipalities on the establishment of escrow accounts and preparing financial information for multi-family renovation and low-income housing tax credit programs makes her an invaluable asset to the GCG team. Her responsibilities span the management of all financial aspects of the on-going projects throughout the organization.
Mary’s construction accounting expertise has been a tremendous asset to GCG. She has successfully negotiated several complex projects with high debt to ratio by working closely with subcontractors and lending institutions to ensure a successful financial outcome for all parties involved. Her many strengths include the management of details inherent to commercial real estate transactions.
Mary holds a BS degree in Business and Accounting from Fontbonne University. Her philanthropic endeavors are far-reaching, including her current position as President of the Executive Board of Friends of Kids with Cancer.
