2019 Q2 Gundaker Commercial Retail Market Report

The St. Louis retail market recorded -12,156 SF of net absorption during 2Q 2019. Direct net absorption totaled -74,147 SF of absorption with Sublet net absorption totaling 61,991 SF for 2Q 2019. The total vacancy rate for 2Q 2019 was 5.6%, an increase from 5.5% in 1Q 2019 but a decrease from 5.9% in 2Q 2018. Overall asking rents decreased from $13.23 PSF NNN in 1Q 2019 to $13.19 PSF NNN at the close of 2Q 2019.
